BMW strong in shortened practice

The DTM drivers were only given 25 minutes of track time in second free practice. Thick fog caused significant changes in the time schedule, preventing a longer session on Saturday morning. Bruno Spengler was fastest with his BMW M4 DTM. He completed his fastest lap of the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben in 1:20.163 minutes. His fellow BMW driver Augusto Farfus ended up second from Maxime Martin and António Félix da Costa.

After a short break, every tenth of a second counts. From noon onwards, the 24 drivers will battle for the best starting grid positons for the 40 minutes’ race, that will get underway at 14:55 hrs. ARD will be broadcasting live from Oschersleben from 14.30 hrs.
