Lausitzring: race 2 in detail

At Lausitzring, Jamie Green also decided the fourth race of the season in his favour. In the race on Sunday, the Audi works driver prevailed against his fellow Audi drivers Mattias Ekström and Miguel Molina. In sixth position, Daniel Juncadella was the best-placed Mercedes-Benz driver. Maxime Martin was the best-placed BMW driver in eighth place.

Start Ekström takes the lead from Green at the first corner.
Lap 1 Ekström is leading from Green, Molina, Scheider, Mortara, Martin, Farfus, Rockenfeller, Juncadella and Paffett. Wittmann of the track.
Lap 2 The incident between Wittmann and Wickens is under investigation by race control. Blomqvist heads into the pits.
Lap 3 Ekström has a margin of 0.8 seconds.
Lap 4 DRS has now been enabled. Paffett comes into the pits for an unscheduled stop.
Lap 5 Wickens gets a warning from race control for the incident with Wittmann.
Lap 6 Tambay overtakes Auer and is now 15th.
Lap 7 Change in the lead as Green claims first place in the first corner, but Ekström counters and takes his position back.
Lap 8 Jamie Green takes the lead in the first corner, just like one lap earlier, but now, he succeeds and pulls clear. At the end of the lap, he is leading by a margin of over one second.
Lap 10 Green is leading from Ekström, Molina, Scheider, Mortara, Martin, Farfus, Juncadella, Müller and Rockenfeller.
Lap 13 Green is leading by 1.8 seconds from Ekström, who, in turn, is 1.3 seconds ahead of Molina. Like this, the front-runners are unable to use DRS.
Lap 14 Molina, Rockenfeller, Félix da Costa, Tambay, Glock, Wittmann into the pits.
Lap 15 Ekström, Martin, Müller, Wehrlein into the pits.
Lap 16 Green, Wickens into the pits.
Lap 17 Green is defending his lead from Ekström. Di Resta into the pits.
Lap 18 Scheider, Farfus, Tomczyk into the pits.
Lap 19 Mortara, Juncadella, Vietoris into the pits.
Lap 20 Spengler into the pits. Götz and Auer are the only two drivers yet to make a pit stop.
Lap 21 Auer into the pits.
Lap 25 Scheider is attacking Molina for third in the first corner, but has to let the Spaniard pass again.
Lap 26 Wehrlein goes straight in the first corner after contact with Félix da Costa, he finds his way back into the field. Race control is investigating on this situation.
Lap 30 Wehrlein and Félix da Costa remain involved in a battle for 17th place. Farfus heads into the pits after a collision with Götz and retires.
Lap 31 Götz is the last driver to make a pit stop.
Lap 32 Scheider keeps the pressure on Molina in the battle for third place.
Lap 33 Wickens off the track after a mistake under braking. Wehrlein overtakes Glock and is now 14th.
Lap 35 Still 15 minutes remaining in this race. Green is leading from Ekström, Molina, Scheider, Mortara, Juncadella, Martin, Müller, Vietoris and Tambay.
Lap 37 Green is clearly leading with a margin of 2.8 seconds from Ekström. Molina is 8.8 seconds down on the leader.
Lap 38 Auer's car is stuck in the gravel trap, the safety car is deployed.
Lap 39 It is back to square one again, the margins have been erased.
Lap 42 Restart. Positions remain unchanged. Juncadella is putting pressure on Mortara for fifth place. Tambay off the track, but continues.
Lap 43 Tambay had tangled with Spengler, race control is investigating on this matter. Ekström is within one second from race leader Green.
Lap 44 Drive-through for Spengler because of the incident with Tambay. DRS has been enabled again.
Lap 45 Time has run out, one more lap to follow.
Lap 46 Juncadella attacks Mortara, but to no avail.
Finish Green also wins the second race at Lausitzring from Ekström and Molina.
