Sheer joy for Robert Wickens. At the Norisring, the only street circuit on the DTM calendar, the Mercedes-Benz driver scored his third victory in the DTM. At the end of an action-packed race, the Canadian finished well ahead of his fellow Mercedes-Benz driver Christian Vietoris. At the finish line, he had a margin of 7.239 seconds. The battle for third, on the other hand, was a fierce one. Bruno Spengler came out on top to secure the first podium finish for BMW in the 2015 season. In an entertaining duel, the Canadian overtook Mattias Ekström in an Audi RS 5 DTM on the penultimate lap. Jamie Green (Audi) remains in the lead of the drivers' standings after the third DTM weekend with 81 points. In the race on Sunday, Green ended up 19th.

Start Spengler takes the lead from Wickens, Paffett. No problems in the first corner for the front runners. Further back, Götz runs into the back of Glock's car.
Lap 1 Auer overtakes Ekström and is fourth. Farfus and Rockenfeller into the pits with collision damage. Both drivers retire.
Lap 2 Götz into the pits.
Lap 4 Glock is missing the bonnet of his BMW M4 DTM. Safety car is deployed. Auer is under investigation because of an inaccurate grid position.
Lap 5 Five seconds' pit stop penalty for Lucas Auer. Götz under investigation for causing a collision. Glock into the pits - he retires.
Lap 8 Restart. Spengler defends his first place from Wickens.
Lap 9 Götz will be reported to the stewards of the meeting for causing a collision on the opening lap of the race.
Lap 11 DRS has been enabled again after the safety car intervention.
Lap 13 Wickens attacks Spengler for the lead, but to no avail.
Lap 14 This time, Wickens is successful and takes the lead coming out of the Grundig hairpin. Vietoris gets through as well. Auer overtakes Spengler in the Schöller-S and Ekström gets past under braking for the Dutzendteichkehre. Spengler is only fifth.
Lap 17 Ekström attacks Auer under braking for Dutzendteich, but Auer counters.
Lap 18 Ekström overtakes Auer on the straight towards the Grundig hairpin.
Lap 20 Félix da Costa overtakes Martin and is now ninth. Juncadella and Green also overtake Martin.
Lap 22 Juncadealla, Tambay into the pits.
Lap 23 Martin, Müller into the pits.
Lap 25 Green into the pits.
Lap 26 Félix da Costa into the pits.
Lap 27 Wehrlein, Wittmann into the pits.
Lap 28 Paffett, Tomczyk into the pits.
Lap 29 Ekström, Spengler into the pits.
Lap 30 Mortara into the pits.
Lap 31 Blomqvist, Scheider into the pits.
Lap 34 Wickens into the pits.
Lap 35 Wickens exits the pits ahead of Ekström. Vietoris into the pits.
Lap 36 Di Resta into the pits.
Lap 37 Auer into the pits - he also completes his five seconds' penalty.
Lap 38 Molina is the only driver who has still to make his pit stop.
Lap 40 Tambay and Félix da Costa battle for 13th place, the Portuguese gets past at Grundig.
Lap 41 Molina into the pits.
Lap 42 Wickens is leading from Vietoris, Ekström, Spengler, Di Resta, Wehrlein, Paffett, Juncadella, Green, Martin.
Lap 43 Wehrlein overtakes Di Resta under braking for Dutzendteich and is now fifth.
Lap 47 Spengler is closing the gap to Ekström, who is third.
Lap 52 Green, Martin and Auer are closely together in ninth to eleventh place.
Lap 57 Martin attacks Green for ninth place, but to no avail.
Lap 58 Spengler is closing up on third-placed Ekström.
Lap 60 Martin and Green tangle at Grundig in the battle for ninth, Martin gets past.
Lap 61 Auer does it likewise and also overtakes Green at Grundig. The Austrian is now tenth. Green into the pits, both front wheels are changed.
Lap 64 Di Resta overtakes Wehrlein and is now fifth.
Lap 65 Auer attacks Martin in the battle for ninth place. Müller into the pits, retires.
Lap 69 Wehrlein overtakes Di Resta again and is now fifth.
Lap 70 Spengler and Ekström side by side in the run to Grundig, but Ekström remains third. Blomqvist under investigation for non-respect of blue flags.
Lap 71 Warning for Blomqvist for non-respect of blue flag. Spengler overtakes Ekström for third.
Lap 72 Auer overtakes Martin and is now ninth.
Lap 74 Wickens wins from Vietoris, Spengler, Ekström, Wehrlein, Di Resta, Paffett, Juncadella, Auer and Martin.
